Lust list #1

I don't know about you, but I only ever get a new perfume for birthdays or Christmas, it's always a luxurious treat that I can never justify purchasing for myself. I've smelt a lot of wonderful scents on other people recently, and it's got me to lusting over some of most coveted scents all over again. Being a penniless shopaholic, I'm nearly always lusting after something, whether that be fragrances, clothes, beauty products or items for my home, so I'm going to feature Lust Lists every now and then, just to get it out of my system!

Without further ado, here's my Lust List #1

Armani Code Pour Femme
{available here}

 Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
{available here}

Paco Rabanne Black XS
{available here}

 Yves Saint Laurent Cinema
{available here}

 Dior Hypnotic Poison
{available here}

I really don't have a 'signature scent', as much as I wish I did. I tend to go for more musky, woody or spicy scents, but as you can see from my Lust List I've got no real preference - if I like it, I wear it! Now I'm thinking this list was a bad idea...I want them all!

Whilst I was browsing the world wide web for scentspiration, I stumbled across this eBay listing, for a can of Lynx for Girls! What do we reckon, genuine or fake?! It's certainly got some interest on eBay already, with a fair amount of bids and it's ending soon! I can't quite make up my mind, surely we would have heard about this if it were real, after all Lynx is a pretty big powerhouse brand?!

What perfumes are you currently lusting after? What is your favourite scent? What do you think about Lynx for Girls?!

  1. Armani Code was my wedding day perfume! :) Husband had the men's version. Until recently I was the exact same as you, only got perfume as gifts for xmas/birthday, but I've become infatuated with perfume over the last 6mths & added to my collection! I also like woody musky type scents. Current fave is Guerlian Shalimar Initial (must review soon!). I also like Laura Mercier Fig, Marc Jacobs Lola Rose & have ordered an Armani Prive from Strawberrynet which I'm so excited about trying!

    I think I'll give the Lynx a miss! ;)

    1. Oh how wonderful, I want it even more now! Colin has the mens version, and I adore it! I'll have to give those scents you've mentioned a sniff, sounds like they'll be right up my street! I always want to review my perfumes, but I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to explaining how something smells! It's, erm...nice! xxx

  2. Oh you should review them - I read some of the perfume blogger sites and wouldn't even attempt to echo their expertise but it's inspiring! I think it's good to get a 'normal' review of why something's nice too! x

    1. I might do, you've convinced me! Half the time I don't understand the scent if I don't know what the individual notes smell like, if that makes any sense, so a laymans terms review is probably something I can muster! xxx

  3. Ohh I love Black XS, such an addictive scent. I don't think I've ever smelt Flowerbomb on myself, even though everyone I know loves it. Will have to rectify this!

    1. I've got the teeny tiniest amount of Black XS left and it's making me so sad to think it'll be gone soon! I adore the scent of Flowerbomb, on everyone I've ever known was wearing it, and just from sniffing it at the counter...lust lust lust! xxx

  4. I only get perfumes as gifts too. I think buying your own perfume takes away the "specialness" of it!

    Of the perfumes you've featured Dior Hypnotic Poison is my favourite, god, I could just take a bath in it!!

    I finally realised what my signature scent was about 5 years ago, Coco Chanel. Basically, because it's the one I return to time after time, I may try others.

    Lynx for girls?! Noooooo! The thought of smelling like an adolescent boy puts me right off! haha! :D xx

    1. We must be on the same wavelength, because even though you didn't say it, I read it like that! I do like Coco Chanel, but prefer Chance on me. xxx

  6. Mmm, Hypnotic Poison is sitting in my drawer upstairs but sorry, no, you can't have it, it's the only perfume I tend to wear these days and I'm rationing what is left.
    You could walk into town each morning and have a spray from the testers in Boots, lol. x
