Superdrug Body Polish
Cranberry & Pomegranate and Plum & Red Cherry
It will come as no surprise to regular readers that I am, what some people may like to call, an exfoliating addict. Try as I might, I just can't stop exfoliating {almost daily}, it's a habit I can't and won't break {mind you, I can think of much worse/serious habits to have}! If you don't believe me, just check out my archive of exfoliating related blog posts...
There are a plethora of exfoliators on the market, to suit any budget, from high street to high end, and I often find that some of the best scrubs are those that can be picked up for next to nothing whilst out buying the essentials.
I have been loving the Superdrug own brand products recently, not only are they purse friendly and easily accessible, they are pretty darn smashing to boot! They have a really creamy gel-like consistency, with a decent amount of little scrubby beads {which are actually the seeds} that leave your skin feeling clean and gently exfoliated - please note that if you're after a serious scrub then these probably won't be up to the job, I tend to use these on more of a daily basis. The scents are truly delicious, very fruity and fragrant, almost edible {but I really wouldn't recommend it}, that linger slightly on the skin. Some scrubs do have a tendency to dry out my skin, leaving it unbearably tight and itchy, but thanks to their delightfully creamy consistency, I've found that these have an almost moisturising effect on my skin.
As you can see pictured above, I've been particularly enjoying two of the fruitier scents: Cranberry & Pomegranate Body Polish and Plum & Red Cherry Body Polish {I can't find this online}. These retail at £2.24 for 200ml {although they are currently on offer at £1.99 making them even more of a bargain}, and are available in a variety of different scent combinations - I want to try the Coconut & Shea Butter one next I think. These are pretty long lasting too, I've definitely had mine for over a month, and tend to use one 3 or 4 times per week in the shower, and so far I've not even finished one of them.
I have to admit that I would normally tend to bypass 'own brand' products, in favour of something more 'well known' and hyped up, but I think from now on I might browse a little more before I make my final choice. For those interested, Superdrug products are cruelty free.
Have you tried any of the Superdrug own brand products? What are your thoughts on Budget Beauty?
